Timothy Zahn

Timothy Zahn is an American science fiction author best known for his Star Wars novels.

He studied physics at Michigan State University and the University of Illinois but never completed his doctorate.

Zahn began writing science fiction as a hobby in 1975 and later became a professional writer.

His Star Wars works, particularly the Thrawn trilogy, significantly expanded the franchise's Expanded Universe and helped revitalize interest in Star Wars during the 1990s.
